Aesthetic Gynaecology is a highly specialized surgery, also known as “Cosmetic Vaginal Surgery”. It can have multiple benefits including:
– Tightening the vagina
– Improved appearance of the genitals
– Improved sensation from the vaginal area
– Removing genital pain or discomfort
– Altering the appearance of the vaginal lips
– Reducing the size of the clitoral hood
– G-spot enhancements for increased sexual sensation
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure which aims at altering the size and shape of the inner and outer lips (labia) of the vagina. This minor surgical procedure enhances and restore the appearance of the labia, maintaining its natural appearance and it’s full functionality. This may necessary due to a medical condition or because a woman suffers physical discomfort or wishes to alter the appearance of her labia.
Labiaplasty for the inner lips
- This procedure focuses on reducing the size or shape of the inner lips (labia minora), as well as the removal of dark skin tone tissues which are the cause of nuisance for many women. for reasons related to physical sensation in the area, or psychological reasons such as lack of self-confidence or sexual performance if a woman dislikes the appearance her vaginal lips.
Labiaplasty for outer lips
- This procedure aims to reduce the size and look of the exterior vaginal lips by removing the excess fat and tighten or lift relaxed skin present there.
Clitoral hood reduction
Excess tissue covering the clitoris can be troublesome for women.
The clitoral hood serves to protect the clitoris from being constantly rubbed. Constant friction could lead to over-stimulation, desensitization and even pain. It also helps to keep the area moist and completes the appearance.
The clitoral hood serves an important function. However, sometimes it can be too large or lengthy, or not retract during intimacy. This may be caused by genetics, trauma or childbirth.
A clitoral hood reduction (also known as hoodectomy and clitoropexy), is a procedure that reduces the length and size of your clitoral hood.
Our goal at the Women’s Surgery Centre is to improve your appearance without adversely affecting the function of the area treated. For this reason, we only reduce your clitoral hood to the point where it appears less prominent. It should also be more proportionate with the rest of your labia and vulva contours.
It is important to note that the technique used at the Womens Surgery Centre results in no nervous damage and thus the sensation of the clitoris will not be altered at all.
Laser Vaginal Bleaching
Thanks to the latest laser technology it is now possible to alter the colour of your genital area, and remove unwanted darkness, in only one session!
The Womens Surgery Centre uses the latest in CO2 fractional laser technology to enable Laser Vulvar Bleaching.
Laser Vaginal Bleaching aims to permanently remove darkened tissues in the vaginal area or in the perineum. Such discolouration may be genetic, a result of hormonal changes, age or childbirth. This condition can often be frustrating to a woman and result in poor self-esteem and sexual dysfunction.
The procedure takes place using a latest-generation special laser, on three or more sessions, depending on the severity of the discolouration . Each session usually lasts between 10-15 minutes and is done as an outpatient. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia.
In the post-operation period, special care should be given to hygienic care of the area, and it is recommended that the first sexual intercourse takes place following 3-4 days after the session.
Laser Vaginal Bleaching is a low risk procedure and can also be combined with other Cosmetic procedures of the intimate area.
A minimally invasive, non-surgical, treatment that can temporarily enhance the feeling in the G-Spot for up to 4 months. G-Spot Amplification or otherwise known as the G-Shot, creates more fullness, allowing women to have a more intense and deeper orgasm. Collagen is used which increases the size of the G-Spot to about the size of a quarter in width, and one fourth of an inch in height. (Results may vary)
A specially designed speculum is used to assist, which will be inserted into the vagina followed by a small needle to deliver a small amount of local anesthetic into the G-Spot. The collagen is then injected. After this a tampon is placed (the tampon is to be removed in 4 hours). The actual injection usually takes less than 8 seconds and the total office visit time is usually less than 30 minutes.
After the procedure, there is no recovery time needed. You’re ready to get on with your day! The most common side effect following injection includes scant bleeding from the needle injection site.
Loss of volume in the outer vaginal lips (labia majora) is a common issue in women as they age especially after childbirth, menopause, and extreme weight loss. They can become more noticeable, especially if they’re darker or hang down past the edges of the labia majora.
Aside from appearance, the labia majora act as a kind of cushion during sexual intercourse. The loss of tone and firmness can cause discomfort during sex, because they are unable to protect you from excessive friction and impact.
There are several options for regaining the volume to the labia majora. One of which is injection of fillers. They can give up to 9 to 24 months of correction.
We use fillers, which are injections made from hyaluronic acid, a chemical produced by our bodies. The risk of rejection is small because of this.
- Like facial and lip injections, this non-surgical procedure takes approximately 15 minutes.
- You’ll see results immediately, with minimal to no swelling following the injections.
- There is no recovery time needed. You’ll be able to return to everyday activities right away.
Up to 25% of women have an orgasmic dysfunction, and there are few products on the market that are designed to help. The O-Shot, or “Orgasm shot” is a non-surgical procedure that can stimulate the vagina in a way that positively impacts orgasms.
The procedure is performed in a doctor’s office by injecting that patients own blood platelets into the vaginal tissue. These platelets then stimulate the growth of new cells in the injected areas, making those areas more sensitive to the touch.
Vaginoplasty is a plastic surgery for the vagina, performed to strengthen the vaginal muscles.
The procedure can be undertaken as a medically required reconstructive surgery or an elective cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive surgery is judged to be a medical necessity because the vaginal canal or its structures are damaged or absent. This is usually due to either a congenital cause such as vaginal atresia (having a deformed, absent or non-functioning vagina) or an acquired cause such as an illness (cancer) or a physical trauma (injury).
Sometimes vaginoplasty is combined with labiaplasty – a surgery to reshape the lips.
A full vaginoplasty procedure takes about one to two hours. The surgery usually involves either pulling the pelvic floor muscles closer together, removing any loose excess skin and scar tissue, or a combination of the two. The result is a tighter, restructured vagina that will ideally provide more friction and better pleasure during sex.
Drs Natalia Novikova and Gary Groenewald of Women’s Surgery Centre are excited to bring this complete range in the field of intimate surgery. Bringing back the confidence that every woman deserves.
